The history of the Molkerei Biedermann

Molkerei Biedermann, based in Bischofszell, was the first dairy in Switzerland to obtain a licence to process organic milk in 1989. Our milk comes from a radius of 45 kilometres, stretching from Lake Constance to the Säntis, and includes cow's, sheep's and goat's milk.

Our dairy has processing lines for drinking milk and cream in soft packs and bottles. We also produce yoghurt, quark, butter and mixed milk drinks as well as innovative speciality products. Our premium products are sold in Switzerland and in organic speciality stores throughout Europe. Sustainable production is an important concern for us. We use a photovoltaic system on the roof to generate electricity and heat with wood chips from the forests of Bischofszell. This environmentally friendly heating system provides part of the energy we need.
